The International Center for Captive Insurance Education (ICCIE)in Burlington, Vt., said it will offer five courses prior to theannual conference of the Vermont Captive Insurance Association(VCIA) in Burlington.

The pre-conference ICCIE courses will take place Aug. 7-8 at theSheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Burlington, Vt.Conference dates are Aug. 9-12.

The courses offered are:

o Introduction to Alternative Risk Financing Mechanisms, whichoffers five CPE credits, Aug. 7, 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

o Business Ethics in the Captive Insurance Industry, offeringfive CPE credits, Aug. 7, 1:00 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

o Protecting the Captive: Predicting Risk, Reinsurance and otherTransfer Mechanisms, for nine CPE credits, Aug. 7, 8:00 a.m.-4:30p.m.

|

o Understanding Risk and Risk Retention Mechanisms, for nine CPEcredits, Aug. 8, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

o Forming and Operating a Captive, which offers nine CPEcredits, Aug. 8, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
