Kentucky Unveils Online Services For Agents

NU Online News Service, March 12, 3:30 p.m.EST? The Kentucky Office of Insurance has unveiled newinteractive Web-based services to help agents cut down on theirpaperwork.[@@]

Previously, agents in Kentucky could use the insurance office'sWeb site only to view their personal profiles?such as licenses,exams, continuing-education courses and financial-responsibilityrecords.

The site's enhanced features include a variety of interactivetools?allowing agents to renew licenses, complete addresscorrections, request certification/clearance letters, schedule orreschedule exams, order copies of the insurance code, requestreplacement or additional licenses, correct information, andrequest the voluntary surrender of licenses.

"We are very excited about bringing these new electronicservices to our agents. It is now incumbent upon the office ofinsurance and the agent community to take full advantage of thesecost- and labor-saving tools," said Glenn Jennings, actingexecutive director at the Kentucky Office of Insurance.

Mr. Jennings said also his office plans to launch additionalWeb-based services for potential agents, business entities,consumers and insurers. The site address ishttps://doi.ppr.ky.gov/Kentucky.
