Ebix Drops ?Dot Com' From Name

NU Online News Service, Dec. 31, 9:55 a.m.EST?Ebix announced it has changed its name from ebix.comInc. to Ebix Inc.[@@]

The Atlanta-based software and e-commerce solutions provider tothe industry said it has also changed its logo. The new logo can beseen at www.ebix.com.

"Over the last few quarters, the company has expanded itsportfolio of services substantially with a strong focus on customsoftware development and business process outsourcing," said RobinRaina, the company's chairman, president and chief executiveofficer. "The former name did not do justice to our brick andmortar infrastructure in India and the related BPO, call center anddevelopment divisions. So, we decided to re-christen the company asEbix Inc."

Mr. Raina continued that the company is proud of its "pioneeringrole in the insurance industry in terms of bringing InternetASP-based products to the insurance industry."

He added, "We will continue to bring such state of the arttechnologies to the industry, in addition to providing costeffective outsourced services from our BPO, Call Center &Development divisions."
