AJG Acquires Wash. Wholesaler
|NU Online News Service, Nov. 4, 11:00 a.m.EST?Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J.Gallagher & Co., has acquired National Insurance ProfessionalsCorporation of Poulsbo, Wash.
|National Insurance is an insurance wholesaler and programmanager specializing in property-casualty placements on behalf ofindependent agents and brokers throughout the United States.
|The firm, founded in 1976, manages specialized programs forsocial service agencies, lawyers, dentists, public entities,directors and officers, and bicycle manufacturers anddistributors.
|According to AJG, Thomas Downs, William Reese, Barry Clipsham,William Johnson and National Insurance's staff will continue tooperate in the current location under the direction of JoelCavaness, president of Risk Placement Services, Inc., a subsidiaryof AJG.
|Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
