B&B Acquires Benefit Resource Group
|NU Online News Service, Oct. 31, 10:20 p.m. EST?Brown& Brown Inc. announced it is acquiring Benefit Resource Inc.,Benefit Resource of Indiana Inc., and Business Benefits GroupInc.
|The three firms, started by Andy Anderson 25 years ago inOwensboro, Ky., specialize in serving the employee benefits needsof businesses throughout Kentucky and Indiana. The three firmscombined have annualized revenues of approximately $2.5 million,B&B said in a statement. The group has offices in Newburgh,Ind., and Owensboro.
|Eric E. Anderson, chairman of the group, will continue in hisrole and become a member of B&B's executive committee. AndyAnderson, Dan Davis in Kentucky, Patty McGowan in Indiana and theirstaffs will continue to serve clients at their current locations asfree-standing B&B offices.
|Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
