BCS Acquires Conn. Agency
|NU Online News Service, July 13, 1:39 p.m.,EDT?BCS Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of Boston-basedPlymouth Rock Assurance Corp., announced the acquisition of ArthurG. Eheman Inc., an independent insurance agency in Shelton,Conn.
|Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
|The Eheman agency will continue to operate under its own nameand will maintain relationships with multiple carriers, PlymouthRock said in a statement.
|John MacKenzie, agency manager, and Pamela Allen, agent andoffice manager, will continue in their roles.
|BCS Holding Company was formed in late 1999 to acquire andoperate independent agencies, particularly those facing successionor perpetuation issues. This is its first acquisition outside ofMassachusetts.
|Plymouth Rock and its subsidiaries sell auto and homeownersinsurance in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and NewJersey.
