PIANH Sets Meeting

NU Online News Service, April 16, 4:19 p.m.EDT?The Professional Insurance Agents of New Hampshiresaid their annual meeting, set for May, is expected to addressongoing issues of concern to agents and hear some candid commentsfrom the state's top insurance regulator.

This year's session is scheduled for May 21 at the MarriottCourtyard and Grapple Conference Center, in Concord, N.H.

The conference is offering three educational seminars in themorning entitled: "E&O Loss Prevention," "Commercial Liability:Understanding the Exclusions," and a panel discussion on "InsuranceCredit Scoring: A Peek Inside the Black Box."

New Hampshire Insurance Commissioner Paula Rogers and MartyEngstrom, a humorist, are both scheduled to address a luncheonsession.

"Historically, New Hampshire's commissioner Paula Rogers hasbeen extremely candid at our annual conference," said Robert J.Wieczorek, president PIANH.

"Last year, the commissioner reported an increase in consumercalls to the department about tightening underwriting standards andshe shared her inclination that more attention needed to be paid toincreasing consumer inquiry on that topic.

"We are looking forward to hearing how the department hasbalanced the continued stabilization of the market with consumerneeds."
