Agent & CSR Honored By PIA

NU Online News Service, April 11, 11:09 a.m.EDT?The National Association of Professional InsuranceAgents honored a former PIA chapter chairman and a Connecticutcustomer service representative for their work within the insuranceindustry.

The Alexandria, Va.-based association named Paul Monacelli, thepast-president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey,as PIA National 2003 Professional Agent of the Year, and KimberlyA. Tompkins received the inaugural PIA National 2003 CustomerService Representative of the Year.

Mr. Monacelli is chief executive officer of ADP/StatewideInsurance Agencies of Cedar Knolls, N.J. He was honored for hishard work, his commitment to professionalism in his industry andhis dedication to his community.

A member of PIA of New Jersey since 1991, Mr. Monacelli servedas president-elect in 1998-99 and as president of the stateassociation in 1999-2000. He is currently chairman of the PIANJAuto Insurance Task Force and serves on the agent advisory councilsof a number of insurance companies.

Kimberly A. Tompkins, a CSR with Housing Insurance Services ofCheshire, Conn., was honored for her professionalism and uniquecontributions as a customer service representative working for aPIA member agency.

|

During her 15-year career, Ms. Tompkins has been a producer, anunderwriter and a CSR in both commercial and personal lines. She isthe president of the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals.

The inaugural CSR of the Year Award was sponsored by ZurichNorth America Small Business.
