Agent Groups Set CE Course Lineup

NU Online News Service, Sept. 18, 9:26 a.m.EST?Four Northeast agent associations have announcededucational programs for the new semester year and beyond.

The Professional Insurance Agents Associations of Connecticut,New Hampshire, New Jersey and New York, a collective tradeassociation for independent agents based in Glenmont, N.Y., saidthe individual associations will offer courses through seminars,programs and conferences.

The schooling will provide continuing education credits,fundamentals of insurance courses for new agency employees, andcomputer-based training programs.

|

Starting the season, PIACT Education Expo will begin today, andfocus on such topics as: "A Principal Decision: Tech Trends,Weakness and Opportunity;" "Ethics and Compliance Issues;" and"Avoiding an E&O Odyssey."

On Oct. 3 and 4, PIANJ will host its OktoberEdFest. Some topicsto be covered include E&O strategies and studies, personalinjury, commercial property, and other topics of interest toinsurance professionals.

The association is also offering a "Fundamentals of Insurance"certificate program for new agency employees. The program coversfundamentals in personal and commercial lines or both.

In response to the increasing demand for e-training, theassociation said it is offering online courses. In conjunction withMindLeaders, the association is making available an extensivelibrary of ready-to-use computer-based training and self-studyproducts.
