Unitrin Direct Insurance Company implemented PDA Software Services ClaimConnect claims management system. Unitrin Direct, a direct-writer spin-off of Unitrin that focuses on personal auto policies, will use ClaimConnect to enhance customer service by streamlining internal processes such as diaries, log notes, correspondence, and reserves and payments.

Riskclick (the leader in collaborative computing software for the risk and insurance industry) signed a contract with engineering and construction firm Bechtel Corporation, to provide e-business solutions to increase the efficiency of Bechtels risk management.

Conseco (a market leader in insurance, investment, and lending products) contracted business process outsourcing services from Liberty Insurance Services Corporation (LIS) for Consecos introduction of variable universal life (VUL) insurance products. Those BPO services will be managed out of LISs St. Louis office; the VUL products will be administered using LISs Life Support Plus life administration software. Said a Conseco spokesman, LIS had the expertise, flexibility, and can-do spirit we were looking for.
