|NU Online News Service, July 12, 11:06 a.m.EST?Insurance broker Brown & Brown, Inc. announced theacquisition of Cooper, Brown & Currie, Inc., of Rome, Ga., anindependent insurance agency.
|Terms of the transaction were not announced. Brown & Brownis based in Daytona Beach, Fla.
|Cooper, Brown & Currie was founded 75 years ago and servesclients in northwestern Georgia. The agency focuses on providinggeneral lines of insurance for businesses and individuals. Frank A.Brown Jr., president of the agency, and his staff will continue tooperate in Rome.
