Tower Technology, Zantaz In Partnership

NU Online News Service, June 25, 10:49 a.m.EST?Tower Technology, a provider of infrastructuresoftware for document and content processing, today announced astrategic partnership with Zantaz, which offers digital archivingand content management applications.

Terms of the arrangement were not announced. Under theagreement, San Francisco-based Zantaz will integrate Tower'sWebCapture into the Zantaz Digital Safe services for the securecapture, storage and retrieval of Web transactions.

According to the companies, WebCapture records the entirecontent and context of an Internet transaction to meet business,statutory and regulatory requirements, creating an onlinetransaction infrastructure.

The Zantaz Digital Safe service captures, restores, archives andretrieves e-mail, instant messages and other electronic businessdocuments. According to Boston-based Tower, the addition ofWebCapture to these services will allow for the capture, archiving,and replay of all the Web pages involved in online transactions,agreements and contracts.

"WebCapture can record information from any number of Web siteslocated anywhere on the Internet, making it an ideal ASPapplication," the announcement noted.

"There is a rapidly growing need to manage and preserve digitalcommunications of all types, including those conducted over theWeb," said Steve King, president and CEO of Zantaz. "WebCapture?allows [us] to offer [our] clients a cost-effective and securerecord of online transactions, to help them improve ROI as well asmeet e-business regulatory requirements."
