Calif. Insurance Lobby Groups Merge
|NU Online News Service, Jan. 29, 11:13 a.m. EST?The California Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors andthe Professional Insurance Agents Group announced they have joinedlobbying interests to form the Coalition of California InsuranceProfessionals.
|The two associations, with headquarters in Sacramento, willrepresent more than 30,000 insurance professionals. CAIFArepresents approximately 6,000 agents in California and PIA morethan 20,000 in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico, thegroups said in a statement.
|Shari McHugh, formerly lobbyist of the PIA Group, will becomesenior vice president of CCIP, effective Feb. 1.
