Cargo insurers can now drop anchor in front of their computerswhen processing ocean cargo policies, thanks to Ocean CargoExpeditor, a new Web-based system from Adaptik Insurance Solutions(www.adaptik.com).
|According to the company, the product enables insurers toprocess business over the Web in six weeks. It features real-timeassessment, rating, quoting, and binding in less than 10 minutes;account screening and referrals; and 24/7 availability forinquiries and transactions.
|“For years, ocean cargo insurance division managers have runprofitable operations, but their revenue base could not support amajor systems development initiative to provide the requisite toolsto fully service their producers and customers,” said John Pettit,president of Adaptik.
