It looks like we won't be having a "Virus Victory Day" anytime soon. Put another way, it won't be like a "Big Bang" when everything immediately goes back to the way it was pre-pandemic. It's likely to be a gradual process. Luckily, many American workers have assimilated into the "new normal." A July 2020 Chubb survey found that nearly three-quarters of workers (74%) said they want to continue working from home more frequently than before the COVID-19 shutdown. Additionally, more than one–third of Americans working from home (37%) reported being more productive, and another third said their productivity is equal to what they achieve outside the home.
