No other insurance coverage has arguably spurred debate as much as business interruption has during the COVID-19 pandemic. Experts predict more such lawsuits are on the horizon as businesses battle with insurers for coverage.

In recent weeks, states have taken matters into their own hands by introducing legislation that would compel insurers to cover business interruption losses incurred during government-mandated shutdowns.

This infographic highlights the states that have introduced business interruption coverage bills (as of June 1) in light of the novel coronavirus.
