Assurant, a global provider of risk management solutions, has announced a new operating structure, as well as senior management appointments. The company's management committee has added Kathy McDonald, president, global specialty; Keith Meier, president, international; and Tammy Schultz, president, global pre-need, to round it out even further.

Notable transitions
- Christopher Pagano, chief risk officer, will retire on April 1, 2019, after 23 years with Assurant. R. David Conner, a 22-year Assurant employee, will assume the role of senior vice president, global head of risk, effective Jan. 1, 2019.
- Ajay Waghray, chief technology officer will be leaving the company as a result of these changes.
- Gene Mergelmeyer, chief operating officer, will assume leadership of the company's global technology organizations.
