CSC believes its 2011 RAVE Award for billing solutions is a reward for its strong partnership with its clients.
“Billing is an insurer's most frequent touch point with customers,” says Norman Aycock, director of CSC's property/casualty insurance division. “Our clients are leading insurers who trust this critical process to the Exceed Billing & Collections software and CSC staff.”
Exceed Billing is a rules-driven component of the Internet-based Exceed software suite that processes all bill types and lines of business. Built specifically for the insurance industry, Exceed Billing manages single policy accounts, account billings, third-party/group billings, and agency bill. Built upon an open, business-services architecture with a platform-independent Java code base, it can be integrated with other CSC software, carriers' proprietary systems and third-party applications.
Many of the CSC staff have more than 20 years of experience helping clients solve business problems, according to Aycock.
“Our clients have stated that CSC is very client-focused and highly responsive,” he says. “The result is a complete solution that addresses business and technology challenges that carriers face today for billing and collections.”
Listening to clients is one of CSC's core values, explains Aycock. “Listening helps us understand and respond to emerging trends and requirements. We interact and collaborate with our clients on an on-going basis.”
The platform-independent Java option for Exceed is attracting new clients beyond CSC's traditional client base of large-tier P&C carriers.
“While Exceed Billing has always had the ability to add rules via browser screens, authorized users can now create new rules, add new pay plans, expire and replace plans, and add new data fields without IT involvement,” says Aycock. “Customer service representatives have immediate access to data and call center scripting with intelligent screens and a new mobility application that encompasses both browser functions and unique smartphone features.”
CSC will continue to develop configuration enhancements, expanding its mobile offerings and configurability projects, and delivering business services to support secure cloud deployment options, according to Aycock.
