Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group™ has launched a mobile app designed to enhance the customer experience. The app is available for iOS and Android mobile devices. "We’re committed to further simplifying things for our customers, and this new mobile app will go a long way in doing just that," Liz Watson, CMO, Crum & Forster Pet Insurance Group, said in a press release. "Pet parents can use the app to pay their bill and submit and manage claims. It not only simplifies the process, but may result in faster claim reimbursement."

Loveland Innovations®, maker of advanced drone solutions for the P&C insurance industry, recently announced a new partnership with Vale Training, a provider of educational tools and services for insurance professionals. The partnership allows Vale Training to use Loveland Innovations' first-of-its kind autonomous drone inspection solution, IMGING™, as part of a new program designed to help insurance and roofing professionals understand how and when to use drone technology for roof and property inspections.

A new Farmers Insurance® skill for Amazon Alexa allows customers to access policy and claims information simply by using their voice. Through Alexa, Farmers® customers can inquire about the status of their claim and obtain the direct contact information of their assigned claim representative. They can also verbally pose frequently asked questions about insurance terminology, policy coverages, deductibles and limits. This piggybacks on an a usage-based insurance initiative that Farmers launched earlier in 2017 called Signal℠, which monitors distracted driving and allows users to see where and when they get distracted from their smartphone.

BOLT® Solutions, Inc., a digital distribution platform for the P&C insurance industry, and Citizens Property Insurance Corporation recently announced they plan to extend their partnership for another five years. The BOLT Platform powers Citizens' Property Insurance Clearinghouse, a multi-carrier interface that attempts to identify comparable coverage from participating private-market carriers before placing business with Citizens. Citizens Property Insurance Corporation was created by the Florida Legislature in August 2002 as a not-for-profit, tax-exempt, government entity. Its mission is to provide insurance protection to Florida policyholders who are entitled to but are unable to find property insurance coverage in the private market.

Sompo International, a global specialty provider of property and casualty insurance and reinsurance, successfully begun to deploy Guidewire PolicyCenter for underwriting and policy management in the London Market, utilizing Guidewire’s Global Commercial Accelerator. Guidewire Software, Inc., is a provider of software products to general insurers.

Motorists Insurance Group (Motorists) has successfully deployed Guidewire InsurancePlatform™ products to serve as the technology backbone for its new commercial lines company, Motorists Insurance, which was launched on May 1, 2017.

LIDP Consulting Services (LIDP), a provider of software solutions and related services designed specifically for the life, annuity and health insurance markets, recently announced the Kemper Home Service Companies is now in production with LIDP’s The Administrator solution. "This project with LIDP was key to our goal of transforming and modernizing our operation to best serve our customers and create an environment of continuous improvement," Kemper Home Service Companies President Mike Plazony said in a press release. "Effectively using modern technologies to ensure operational efficiency and introduce new products to market quickly is a significant part of our long term strategic goals."
