“This class of Spencer Scholars has demonstrated academic, leadership and communication abilities that will serve them and our industry well,” said Spencer Educational Foundation Scholarship Committee Chair and COO, Lockton Benefits Companies Tim Meacham. “With these scholarships, we continue to accomplish the Foundation’s goal of not only funding the education of future industry leaders but also building a global talent pipeline for the industry.”
This year, the Foundation awarded four master’s level scholarships and four pre-dissertation scholarships. These are $10,000 scholarships. The Foundation’s scholarships are merit-based and take into consideration academics, leadership, industry interest and experience. Each application was reviewed by every committee member. The Foundation also awards risk managers pursuing part-time master’s degrees up to $10,000 scholarships
