Research conducted by Flaspöhler, part of NMG Consulting, reveals risk professionals’ first choices

Which P&C insurance providers have earned the favor of U.S. risk managers?

National Underwriter's Risk Manager Choice Awards is a national survey conducted by Flaspöhler, part of NMG Consulting. It recognizes the “top” Property & Casualty carriers named by risk professionals in their efforts to mitigate exposures.

Chubb takes top honors this year as the overall pick for Best Commercial Insurance Provider, and was named by risk managers as the top insurer in three product lines: D&O, Employment Practices Liability and Surety. Chubb also received high marks for timely service.

Swiss Re, the highest scoring carrier on eight factors critical to risk managers combined, took top honors in several individual factors, including claims handling, financial value and international capability. Likewise, FM Global was rated tops in client orientation; expertise/market knowledge/risk management advice; financial security; and underwriting capabilities.

AIG ranked the highest in an impressive dozen product lines, including Cyber Liability, Commercial Multi-Peril, Commercial Excess Flood, General Liability, and Terrorism. AIG scored the most “wins” among 20 lines of business, with FM Global and Liberty Mutual scoring the highest in two lines each.
