The state of New Orleans: 10 years after Hurricane Katrina

Earlier this year, National Underwriter Editor-in-Chief Shawn Moynihan and Associate Editor Caterina Pontoriero traveled to New Orleans for a special two-day interview with Richie Clements, owner of Chalmette, La.-based Clements Insurance Services, and current president of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).

NU-PC360 spent two days touring the neighborhoods that were most affected by Hurricane Katrina, including Lakeview, Gentilly and the Lower Ninth Wards. Ten years later, the effects of "The Storm" -- as locals refer to Hurricane Katrina -- are still seen and felt throughout the city.

Watch as NU-PC360 tours the still abandoned homes and lots of the Lower Ninth Ward, the new construction booming in the up-and-coming Lakeview and the new levee floodgates on the Violet Canal.
