To what do you attribute the positive ratings from your customers?
Winters: “We credit our strong positive ratings to our commitment to helping customers manage their business more efficiently, effectively, and profitably. We’ve been providing solutions to insurance companies for over 25 years, so we understand the challenges insurers face. Today’s business environment is tough, with low investment returns, increased demands on investment staff, intensified regulatory scrutiny, and greater risk oversight. They need a partner who has been through the wars with their peers, and more importantly, they know we’ll be there to help them navigate through tomorrow’s issues.”
How do you communicate with your insurance carrier customers to meet their needs?
Winters: “We’re very open and forthcoming with customers about where we’ve been, where we are today, and our plans to move forward. Our customers are often our best resource for product enhancements and improvements, so we have a client advisory board that works closely with our product managers and developers to drive changes to our solutions. It’s important that our customers know what we’re focusing on in terms of product development, so they can see their priorities are also our priorities.”
What are some of the positive developments your company has achieved in the past year to make your product stand out amid a crowded solution-provider market?
Winters: “We’re focusing on innovation, and improving and enhancing our solutions and services to provide greater value to our customers. We’ve developed a new product roadmap that we call iWorks Enterprise that encompasses all of our solutions, which provides a common interface and a common infrastructure to better serve the needs of the entire insurance enterprise, from product development to policy administration, risk management, and financial management. We’ve shared this model and our roadmap with key customers and stakeholders and received an overwhelmingly positive response. It’s an exciting time for iWorks and our customers as we guide them toward the future.”
