Insurance brokers Arthur J. Gallagher and Hub International Ltd. recently announced a total of four acquisitions in the Midwest andWestern United States.
Terms of all the transactions were not released.
Itasca, Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher says it has acquired ProSource Financial, LLC, inWestchester,Ill., and Detlefs Johnson & Partners inBaton Rouge,La.
Founded in 1986, ProSource is an employee benefit insurance broker offering a full range of group employee benefit products and consulting services to clients in the Midwestern United States. The firm specializes in providing group medical, disability, dental and voluntary products to the medical, food service, education and business service industries.
Leo J. Shapiro and his colleagues, approximately 30 employees, will continue to operate at their current location under the direction of William Ziebell, North Central regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
With operations dating back to the 1970s, Detlefs Johnson offers a wide range of employee-benefit consultation, human resource and insurance benefit brokerage services for clients throughout the Southern andCentral United States. The firm specializes in group health, life, disability, dental, retirement planning and human resource services.
Principals Philip Detlefs, Gary Johnson, Amanda Hamilton and their associates, approximately 10 employees, will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of John Neumaier, South Central regional executive vice president of Gallagher’s employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
Chicago-based Hub says it has acquired FAS-EBA Insurance Services ofDelMar,Calif., and Mahres & Mahres Insurance Agency of aLas Cruces,N.M.
FAS-EBA is an employee benefits brokerage firm serving the employee benefits needs of businesses in theSan Diegometropolitan area for several decades.
FAS-EBA will become part of theCaliforniadivision of Hub International (HubCalifornia). Thomas Freismuth, founder, president and sole shareholder of FAS-EBA, will join HubCaliforniaas an executive vice president.
Founded in 1984, Mahres & Mahres is an insurance brokerage firm offering a full range of personal and commercial lines products and services.
Mahres’ operation will become part of theNew Mexicodivision of Hub International Insurance Services Inc.
