MarketStance, a resource for demographic data and analytical services for the US insurance industry, announced the release of its fall 2010 update to the company's core information models.

This update brings all commercial insight products current with 2009 premiums and insurable exposures. Now in the 13th year of annual updates to its core information models, MarketStance provides the most accurate and detailed estimation of the domestic commercial lines marketplace.

"Every year we refresh and validate all our databases to continue providing our clients the tools needed to make informed strategic and tactical decisions based timely information," says Adam Edelstein, chief operating officer for MarketStance. "Recently, we have seen an increased appetite from carriers to leverage our data integration services to match MarketStance information against their book of business for detailed headroom analysis, especially with the capacity to integrate 2009 policy data."

Despite the continued year-over-year decline in carrier-written and alternative market premium, MarketStance version 10-0 data helps carriers find pockets of opportunity. Combined with MarketStance's 2010-2011 and 2012-2013 growth forecasts, it is possible to define the classes, geographies and segments poised to lead the economic recovery.
