Fort Worth, Texas-based insurance broker Higginbotham & Associates, a former winner of National Underwriter's Agency of the Year Award, has acquired Houston-based The Essential Insurance Group, LLC.
Essential Insurance, founded in 1999 in Friendswood, Texas, is a property and casualty insurance and surety agency serving the greater Houston area with eight employees. The firm combines commercial and personal p&c coverage with risk management solutions to help customers control their cost of risk.
The firm will maintain its current name and Ryan Moss, president and founder of Essential will become a managing director.
With this acquisition Higginbotham said it now has a combined staff of 365 employees and 14 offices throughout Texas.
