A new national survey by Rasmussen Reports shows 66 percent of those questioned oppose allowing Mexican trucks on U.S. roads. Additionally, 52 percent want to keep "Buy American" rules in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which requires stimulus money to go mostly toward American businesses and contractors.
The North American Free Trade Agreement calls for trucking lanes to be opened up in the U.S., Mexico and Canada to trucks beyond the traditional border crossings.

The trucking saga has dragged on for years, with roadblocks presented in Congress by both Republicans and Democrats.
