Aon Corp. said it has appointed Peter Lieb, currently senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at NCR Corporation, as Aon general counsel and executive vice president.
Mr. Lieb will join Aon in mid-July, the Chicago-based insurance brokerage said.
Greg Case, Aon president and chief executive officer, said Mr. Lieb's extensive industry background will "serve Aon well as we continue to build the leading global professional services firm focused on risk and human capital management."
Mr. Lieb, 53, joined NCR in 2006, where he managed an international law department and provided counsel to the board of directors and senior executives on all legal matters. From 2003 to 2006, he served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Symbol Technologies. From 1997 to 2003 he served in several legal positions including Deputy General Counsel with International Paper Company.
