Dennis M. Donahue, managing director and national practice leader for employee benefits for Wells Fargo Insurance Services, has been named the new chairman of The Council of Employee Benefits Executives.

The CEBE is a standing committee of the Washington, D.C.-based broker association The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers. CEBE is charged with overseeing the association's activities and services for member firms' employee benefit operations.

The CIAB also said Charles Rosson, chief executive officer of Woodruff-Sawyer & Company, was named vice chairman.

Both Mr. Donahue and Mr. Rosson were named to a one-year term during the eighth annual Employee Benefits Leadership Forum held recently in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Mr. Donahue takes over leadership of the CEBE board from Christopher J. Nadeau, principal and practice leader with the employee benefits practice of William Gallagher Associates of Boston.

Before joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Donahue spent 12 years with Marsh Inc. and the former Johnson & Higgins.

Mr. Rosson has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance industry and joined Woodruff-Sawyer in 2004 as employee benefits practice leader.
