Westrope Opens Brandon Subsidiary

Westrope, which lays claim to the title of the seventh largest wholesale insurance broker in the U. S., has opened a subsidiary in Brandon. Westrope Insurance Managers of Florida is a multi-line wholesaler providing binding authority programs and small to medium-sized brokerage placements in Florida and surrounding states. "With our substantial presence in the Southeast marketplace and offices in Jacksonville and Orlando, Westrope Insurance Managers of Florida signifies a strategic extension to further meet the needs of the Florida insurance marketplace," Kevin Westrope, president and CEO of Westrope and president of Westrope Insurance Managers of Florida, said in a prepared release.

Alan Goldfarb has been named COO of the new company and is responsible for binding authority operations. Paul Burger is in charge of brokerage operations, and George Jacobbe handles marketing and contract relationships.
