Professional Insurance Agents of Oregon/Idaho elected GarySteffen as association president at their 41st annual conventionheld recently at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. Steffen isthe vice president of Safe and Sound Insurance in Gladstone, Ore.,and Amigos Aseguranzas in Portland, Ore. He will serve as theorganization's president until June 2009.The organization alsoelected their board of directors. Elected individuals include:

o Chris Huwalt is president-elect. Humwalt is branch manager ofWestern States Insurance.
o Glenda Lile is vice president. Lile is owner and president ofMIDSTATE Insurance Agency.
o Peter Ball is treasurer. Ball is owner of Corvallis InsuranceServices.
o Chris Peterson is secretary. Peterson is with Fullerton &Company.
o Terry Adams is national director. Adams is with Terry Adams &Associates.
o Pete Lackner is immediate past president. Lackner is owner ofRose City Associates.

Other board members include Wendy Abel-Hatzel, Ron Baker, TimBangert, Dennis McGanty, Tyrone Snelling, Brian Crawford, ScottWeaver, Rich Sorem and Doug Hartley.
