Insurance Commissioner Kevin McCarty has announced a number of new staff changes. "The new additions to our management team give the Office of Insurance Regulation an exceptional combination of experience, talent, and expertise and will give the state of Florida the leadership it deserves during the 2007 hurricane season and beyond."
Belinda Miller is a long-time member of the state's insurance regulatory staff with more than 20 years of experience. She has been named as the Deputy Commissioner of Property and Casualty Insurance after serving in an interim capacity since October 2006. Her other capacities include being director of legal services, director of insurer services, and the director of rehabilitation and liquidation.
Mary Beth Senkewicz has been named Deputy Commissioner of Life and Health. She has more than 25 years of public service. She has held positions with the U.S. Attorney's Office, the U.S. Court of Appeals, the Wyoming Insurance Department, and spent 12 years as the senior counsel for health policy with the National Association of Insurance Commissioner's office in Washington, D.C.
