Students may now earn both a master's degree and a prestigious insurance designation online through a collaboration by The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research and the Florida State University College of Business. The partnership allows the flexibility to participate in programs offered by two of the nation's top providers of insurance and risk-management education.
FSU's Master of Science in Management with a major in Risk Management/ Insurance (MSM in RMI), is the first master's program focusing on risk management and insurance offered entirely via the Internet. It is designed for working professionals who wish to study part-time in order to advance their careers. The curriculum concentration is in property and liability insurance. The program has been offered since 2001.
Credit toward earning two premier designations -- Certified Risk Managers (CRM) and Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) -- will be granted to students enrolled in FSU's RMI courses and will apply toward earning either designation.
