Miller has acquired Shields Reinsurance Brokers Limited, an independent reinsurance broker based in Dubai, subject to regulatory approval. Founded in 2017, Shields has a strong reputation, delivering both facultative and treaty reinsurance across various specialty classes. Shields is regulated by the Dubai International Financial Services and is an admitted broker at Lloyd's since 2018.
Seafarer Marine launched a non-admitted yacht program, with surplus lines coverage available in all 50 states backed by an A.M. Best A-IX rated domestic E&S carrier. Seafarer's appointed brokers will now have direct access to both admitted and non-admitted capacity.
