The insurance industry is built on a foundation of trust. Customers hand over their premium money in exchange for the promise that they can trust their insurer should they experience a loss. However, with the average U.S. resident shelling out around $2,110 each year for homeowners' coverage, customers do not give that trust easily.
According to a June 2025 survey from Fairer Finance, only around 53% of customers say they trust their insurer across car, home, pet and travel insurance — a four-year low for the biannual survey. When it comes to customers who have filed a claim with their insurer within the last three years, only around 52.6% said they were satisfied with their experience.
In the slideshow above, we count down the ten insurance brands U.S. consumers trust most for their home insurance, according to the latest America's Most Trusted survey. These rankings are determined through a year-long process of gathering first-hand customer opinions without the influence of third-party reviews, editorial committees or industry professionals.
This year's rankings are reportedly based on 13,639 opinions from individuals in the U.S. who reported actively shopping for home insurance in the last year.
