Customers are expecting more from their insurers, from tailored policies to digital tools, and a new Forbes list highlights companies that are delivering.
Forbes fifth annual America's Best Insurance Companies list ranks top insurance providers offering homeowners, renters, auto, permanent life and term life policies. The rankings were derived from a survey of more than 18,000 people across the United States who have held an insurance policy within the last three years.
Survey respondents answered questions about how satisfied they were with their insurer, how loyal they felt to the company and how likely they were to recommend it to others.
Those results were combined with responses from the last two years to create scores that reflect performance over time.
Out of more than 3,100 eligible U.S. insurance companies, just 93 companies ranked high enough to make the list.
