On the cusp of celebrating a century of operation in 2026, Nationwide has recognized six employees who have been with the company for more than half of its existence.

Among those honored at the celebration was Nationwide’s longest-tenured employee, Julie Revie, who has spent 56 years with the company. Revie works for Nationwide Property & Casualty’s indemnity operations in Wasau, Wisconsin.

Other employees honored for their 50-plus years of service included:

  • Teresa McGraw (investments)
  • Sonja Hutcherson (mainframe engineering)
  • Patricia “Pat” Darst (service desk leadership)
  • Paula “Yvette” Knott (Nationwide Financial)
  • Patricia Connors (Nationwide Financial)

The company celebrated these employees at its home office in Columbus by recreating a 1970s workspace in a video production studio to transport them back to their first days in the office. The experience included vintage cubicles, analog equipment and a view of the 1975 Columbus skyline. The afternoon was spent reminiscing about early work memories and tools, with hosts leading conversations while the honorees browsed archival materials and watched vintage Nationwide commercials.

"As we approach Nationwide's centennial in 2026, the legacy of these six individuals becomes even more meaningful," Nationwide CEO Kirt Walker said in a release. "They've helped shape half, or more, of our journey, and their impact will be felt for generations to come."

"Fifty years at one company is more than tenure, it's a testament to purpose," Walker continued. "These associates have served generations of customers and amassed a combined 309 years of experience. They've trained, supported and inspired thousands of colleagues. And they've helped Nationwide deliver on its mission with extraordinary care, day after day."
