
World Insurance Associates LLC acquired the business of Van Syckel Insurance of Bound Brook, N.J., on Aug. 1. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Van Syckel Insurance was started in 1865, and today it is managed by Ryan Van Syckel, the great, great grandson of the founder. Van Syckel provides home and auto insurance, flood insurance, workers' compensation and business insurance.

Ariel Re Managing Agency Limited announced that Lloyd’s has formally approved the establishment and management of Ariel Re Syndicate 2006. Effective immediately, the syndicate has been granted permission to underwrite in accordance with its agreed business plan for the 2026 year of account. This approval follows the confirmation from Lloyd’s Capital & Planning Group of the 2026 business plan and syndicate ECA in September.
