Progressive Insurance has announced plans to hire more than 12,000 new employees in 2025. The company attributes this increase in its workforce to the company’s year-over-year growth.

In 2024, Progressive reportedly added more than 5 million policies and grew its net written premium by 21% to $74.4 billion. In the first quarter of this year, it has added another 1.3 million policies in force. A release notes that the insurer has been growing its workforce for a while and that the company is focused on providing a flexible environment for employees with a mix of remote, in-office and hybrid roles on the table.

These new positions are spread across claims, customer care, IT, analytics, legal and corporate functions. These include positions as claims adjuster trainees, field adjuster trainees, data scientists, territory sales reps, claims specialists, production print mail specialists and call center workers. Progressive’s in-house legal counsel is also looking to fill roles including defense attorneys in Sherman Oaks, California; Atlanta, Georgia; and Long Island, New York, and in multiple cities in Florida and Texas.

"Progressive continues to prove that our culture is not defined or limited by our physical spaces. By having a flexible workplace approach it not only allows us to meet the needs of our current employees, but to also reach job seekers where they are," Neil Lenane, Progressive business leader of talent acquisition, said in a release. "Although in a reimagined workforce, we still seek to live our core values each day and that starts with our talented team of more than 66,000 employees seeing our commitment to their careers and feeling that support and encouragement through our extensive offerings."

To attract talent, Progressive’s acquisition team recently launched “Destination: Progress,” which is a company campaign that “reflects the sentiment shared by employees about their experience working at Progressive.”
