Rockford Mutual Insurance Company has established an endowment fund for the Katie School of Insurance at Illinois State University that has now funded its first scholarship. The scholarship was presented to senior student Elizabeth Mann at the Finance, Insurance and Law Scholarship awards banquet held on April 8.

On April 7, a veteran of the U. S. Army received a life-changing gift — a beautifully refurbished vehicle to help him and other veterans in their recovery from the effects of war. The NABC Recycled Rides program and its partners Gerber Collision and Allstate worked together to make the donation, and the presentation was sponsored by PPG at its PPG MVP conference at the Omni Amelia Island resort.

Spencer Educational Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to InvestSM, the insurance industry’s premier classroom-to-career education program administered by the Big “I,” to support its work to introduce high school students to insurance education and careers. The grant from Spencer will help Invest expand its engagement with students, particularly through its partnership with DECA, a nationwide career-readiness organization with more than 250,000 high school student members.
