People are rethinking what makes an ideal place to live as iconic cities in the United States become increasingly overcrowded and overpriced, according to a recent report from Real Estate Witch, a part of the Clever Real Estate family of real estate brands.
Cities once overlooked as too quiet are beckoning Americans who want more affordable living. Thanks to the influx of residents, these cities are bustling with new businesses, jobs and cultural opportunities.
To identify the up-and-coming cities most likely to attract Americans in 2025, Clever Real Estate researchers analyzed 150 U.S. metropolitan areas that rank 51st through 200th in population, based on housing prices, population age, educational attainment, unemployment and other factors.
Their data sources included the U.S. Census, the American Community Survey, Zillow, WalkScore, Redfin and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The slideshow above illustrates 15 of the most up-and-coming cities in the U.S., according to Real Estate Witch.
