Modern customers are pretty savvy when it comes to utilizing the wealth of information at their fingertips while deciding with whom to do business, and things are no different when it comes to selecting their insurance broker. After all, a lot rides on the organization they choose to advise them on their risk potential and the coverages they need to properly protect their assets. According to advice from Marsh, some things to consider when choosing an insurance broker include:
  • Their claims ability and service – including team size and the services they offer
  • The partnerships and relationships the broker has with insurers and providers
  • The experience the broker has in your particular sector
  • The scope of the broker's reach and network
Zywave recently released the results of their 2023 Broker Services Survey, which polled employers to gain insight into what exactly it is they need from the relationship with their broker. "Insurance brokers face high expectations from clients and that has shown no signs of slowing down. In fact, they expect more services and guidance than ever before," Patrick Noonan, vice president of content development for Zywave, said in a release. "As the industry transforms, so do the needs of brokers' customers." In the slideshow above, we'll look at the features people prioritize most when choosing a broker, according to Zywave's survey.
