Americans pay an average of $1,211 annually on their home insurance premium, with the medium home value coming in at $265,712.90, says a report from Insurify. According to their data, Louisiana ($1,968 annually), Florida ($1,951 annually) and Texas ($1,893 annually) have the highest average premiums in the nation, likely due to their susceptibility to devastating, often expensive, natural disasters like hurricanes.
