David Barron, an employment law partner at Cozen O'Connor, explains in this short six-minute video that if an employee is not in a protected employment class (age-related or medical/disability-related) then a company can require them to return to the office once the office space has been COVID-19 approved for occupancy.
However, those in protective employee class categories might not be required to return to the office. Employees should check with their company's' HR department to find out more specifics about the type of return-to-work policy they will enforce.
