There is no shortage of insurance solutions available to those with a specific need. While most of the public knows about personal auto or workers' compensation, fewer understand what "other liability" entails. 'Other' liability coverage can include errors and omissions insurance, liquor liability, umbrella liability, marine and more. These may seem like obscure coverages, but there are a number of insurance groups and companies that offer it. The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) released its annual rankings of the top 25 insurance groups and companies providing other liability insurance by countrywide premium. The analysis also included each group and company's direct premiums earned and market share percentage, among other figures. The 2019 industry total for direct premiums written was $80,488,383,641, and the total for direct premiums earned was $75,859,647,782. Many of the organizations on this year's list also were on NAIC's list in 2018, but their order in the top 25 groups and companies has changed.
