People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: Dec. 6, 2019

Anita Sathe has been appointed global leader of Bluestream, Marsh's cloud-based digital broker platform for the affinity market, and leader of Marsh's United States affinity business. She joins Marsh from CoverHound, where she most recently served as chief strategy officer. Burns & Wilcox added Pamela Alphabet as regional practice group leader, Western region, personal insurance. Alphabet most recently served as an underwriting consultant for Nationwide Private Client. Burns & Wilcox also added John Woods to its leadership team as vice president, national practice group leader, transportation. He most recently served as a senior director at Nationwide E&S. Michael Cundiff has been promoted to senior vice president of surety from vice president at Philadelphia Insurance Companies. He began his career at the company with the launch of the surety division in July 2011. FRISS announced that Dan Gumpright has joined the company as the global vice president of products. He spent nearly a decade at BAE Systems, where he held the position of head of global insurance product management for several years. Ben Beauvais has been appointed to the newly created positon of construction executive, distribution, for Global Risk Solutions, Liberty Mutual Insurance's global commercial and specialty lines reinsurer. Prior to his new assignment, he served as chief underwriting officer of North America Specialty Casualty. Munich Re Specialty Insurance appointed Jim Wallace head of property, excess & surplus lines. Wallace most recently served as the president of the U.S. property excess & surplus line division at Navigators. Berkley Construction Profession, a division of Berkley Alliance Managers, a Berkley Company, announced the following promotions:

• Edward L. Sheiffele Jr. - executive vice president

Maureen Westling has been appointed vice president of U.S. catastrophe services operations for Crawford & Company. Most recently, she served as managing director of claims for National Flood Services. Coverys Managing Agency Limited, the Lloyd's managing agent of Syndicates 1975, 1991 and 3330, appointed Priya Fathers as medical professional liability underwriter for Syndicate 1975. Fathers brings over 15 years of specialist underwriting experience to Syndicate 1975, having previously served as underwriting manager, medical malpractice at W/R/B Underwriting. Michael J. Warwicker has joined Chubb Bermuda as senior vice president, head of excess liability. He has more than four decades of international and U.S. insurance industry experience and has held executive casualty underwriting leadership positions at Endurance, Ironshore and AIG. Worldwide Facilities added Nicole Rickett to the Chicago/Atlanta transportation team as a vice president. In her most recent position with National Interstate Insurance Co., Rickett was a top producer for four years and received three promotions during that time. Rich Plass has been hired as president of MADSKY. Most recently, he served as chief operating officer of Allsup, a network business model that partnered with insurance carriers, individuals and a network of legal providers to help streamline the process of applying for social security benefits.
