People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: Sept. 6, 2019

Duncan Ellis has been appointed head of retail property, North America general insurance at American International Group (AIG). Ellis will join AIG in late September from Marsh, where he served as managing director leading the U.S. property practice. TigerRisk Partners LLC appointed James Few chief operating officer of its London office. Few joins TigerRisk from MS Amlin, where he served as global managing director of reinsurance. Jim Epting has been hired by XS Brokers as executive vice president. He was most recently senior vice president and managing director of Burns & Wilcox for the Southeast region. MS Amlin announced that Chris Beazley, CEO of MS Amlin AG, will be expanding his leadership role to include all of MS Amlin's reinsurance business. He joined MS Amlin in 2007. David Pedersen has been appointed executive vice president of enterprise growth and strategy at Ladder Now, a technology-driven, inspection platform and services provider to the property & casualty insurance industry. Most recently, he was leading several strategic initiatives for CoreLogic. Marsh announced the following senior leadership appointments within its property and financial and professional liability (FINPRO) practices:

• Michael Rouse will assume leadership of Marsh's U.S. property practice.
• Michelle Sartain has been appointed FINPRO practice leader for the U.S. and Canada.

BGC Insurance Group  announced that Bruce Fine will be joining its new global aviation and space reinsurance brokerage as the managing partner for U.S. aviation and aerospace as well as president of the aviation industry financial solutions division. Most recently, he was executive vice president and global aerospace manufacturers and infrastructure industry leader at JLT Specialty. Michelle Wallace has been hired as complex care transition manager at HomeCare Connect. Wallace most recently served as home modification specialist, catastrophic/complex care for Orchid Medical. PERILS, the independent Zurich-based organization providing catastrophe insurance data, announced the appointment of Takashi Goda as senior advisor for Japan. He was previously head of Japan for Swiss Re and a member of the Asia management team until his retirement in 2014. Bob Clarkson has joined Fidelis Insurance's Fidelis Underwriting Limited London underwriting team. He was most recently class underwriter for marine hull and war at Brit Insurance. Relation Insurance Services appointed Paul Saich national sales leader. From July 2007 to April 2013, he served as CEO of Thoits Insurance Services Inc. Insgroup announced the following appointments:

• Julie Rogers - senior loss control consultant
• Mason Barker - consultant in the employee benefits practice

Austin Su has been named AXA XL's U.S. underwriting lead of its structured risk solutions business. He joins AXA XL from AIG where he held key positions in alternative risk business, country commercial lines leadership, and multinational & captive programs. Sentinel Marine Underwriters (SMU) announced that Samuel Chung has joined the company as a vice president and Maria Klein has joined as assistant vice president. Chung joins SMU from CNA Insurance, where he was a product leader for the marine cargo business unit in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic territories. Prior to joining SMU, Klein most recently worked with AXA XL as a senior marine underwriter. The Insurance Agents & Brokers (IA&B) Service Group announced the following appointments:

• Sarah Brown - appointed to the board of directors
• Andrew Enders - appointed to the board of directors
• Michael Papa - appointed to the board of directors
• Craig Mader - IA&B Service Group chairman
• Richard Rankin - IA&B Service Group vice chairman
• E. Stephen Burnett - Delaware Association of IA&B chairman
• Bryan Hanes - IA&B of Maryland chairman
• J. Marshall Wolff - IA&B of Pennsylvania chairman
