PMA Companies named Chris Syrell as branch vice president for the company's Syracuse, N.Y., branch office. Most recently, he served as a regional underwriting manager for seven PMA branch offices. PMA Companies also named Tara Shertenlieb as vice president, marketing. Most recently, she was director of corporate communications for RT Specialty. Nate Hughes has joined Holmes Murphy as account executive to the company's Minneapolis property casualty team. Hughes joins Holmes Murphy through the merger with Cobb Strecker Dunphy & Zimmermann, where he was a market leader focused on commercial and professional liability. The Floow named Danny Maco as its new senior vice president and general manager in the Americas. Previously, Maco served as head of telematics and connected solutions at CSAA Insurance Group. Jessie Witherow has been appointed as an assistant vice president at Ames & Gough. She joined the firm in 2006 and served in various administrative and client team support roles prior to assuming her current responsibilities. Avemco Insurance Company, a member of the Tokio Marine HCC group of companies, announced the following promotions:

Landon O'Hara has been appointed Southwest regional executive in the U.S. for Hiscox. Before joining Hiscox, O'Hara served as director at RPX Insurance Services. Liberty Specialty Markets has promoted Nicholas Garside to the role of head of Bermuda property. He joined Ironshore Bermuda as senior vice president in 2018 prior to its rebrand to Liberty Specialty Markets. Chris Lafond has been appointed CEO at Insurity Inc. Laford has been part of the Insurity executive team since 2017, previously serving as the company's chief financial officer. The Hilb Group LLC hired property & casualty insurance specialist Ellen Bohn Gitlitz and acquired her book of business. Bohn Gitlitz will join The Hilb Group's New England region, bringing her experience specializing in insurance for high tech, life science, medical device and clean energy companies. Michael L. Stickney has been appointed executive vice president and chief growth officer at iA Financial Group, effective Sept. 1, 2019. He was most recently iA Financial Group's head of U.S. operations. CNA appointed Tanya Decman to vice president, branch manager for the CNA Seattle and Portland branches. Most recently, Decman served as assistant vice president of sales & distribution in the West.
