People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: Aug. 23, 2019

James Insley has joined DARAG as group chief financial officer (CFO), effective Sept. 2. He most recently served as European CFO of the Warranty Group. Pinnacle Actuarial Resources Inc. announced that Ken Hawkins joined the company as a consulting actuary in the firm's Bloomington home office. Hawkins returns to Pinnacle after three years of leading pricing and rate implementation for a regional property & casualty insurer's commercial lines products. Sabra Purtill will join American International Group Inc. (AIG) in a newly established role as deputy chief financial officer, head of treasury, investor & rating agency relations and corporate development, effective Aug. 28. She joins AIG from The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., where she most recently served as senior vice president, investor relations & treasurer. Liberty Mutual Surety has appointed Douglas Schrift chief underwriting officer and charged him with developing the company's subcontractor default insurance (SDI) offering. Prior to joining Liberty Mutual, Schrift was managing director for Aon's construction services group SDI practice. George Boldarini has been hired as vice president, broker to the professional liability team at Breckenridge Insurance Services. Prior to Breckenridge, he was a program underwriter with All Risks Ltd. for nine years. Everest Insurance announced that Kyle Adams has joined the company to lead the Everest Insurance Bermuda operations. Most recently, Adams held the title of co-CEO for JLT Specialty Bermuda and led JLT Bermuda's financial and professional lines practice. Barb Fuchs has joined CopperPoint Insurance Companies as senior vice president, data management. Fuchs recently served as vice president, information management and analytics at Travelers. Blank Rome LLP announced that partners Mary Craig Calkins and Helen K. Michael, Of Counsel Daniel H. Rylaarsdam and Associate Sarah L. Edri have joined the firm's Insurance Recovery group. With decades with combined experience, the team joins from Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP, where Michael served as former co-chair of the firm's insurance recovery practice and Calkins led the firm's West Coast insurance practice. Kim Wilson has been appointed to the role of senior production underwriter by workers' compensation specialist The MEMIC Group to support continued growth in the Georgia market. Wilson has more than 15 years of experience in the insurance industry working for carriers in Georgia and North Carolina. Liberty Mutual has announced the following appointments:

• Jon Tellekamp - chief underwriting officer for national insurance, excess casualty
• Doug Manwaring - chief underwriting officer of national insurance, public entities and programs

Scott Matiyow has joined the Personal Insurance Federation of Florida (PIFF) as the organization's new vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining PIFF, Matiyow worked as a staff member for the Florida Senate Committee on Banking and Insurance for eight years. Marsh announced that Amy Barnes U.S. and Canada energy power leader. Prior to this role, Barnes was chief client officer for Marsh U.K.'s Global Energy and Power business. The supervisory board of HDI Global SE, the industrial insurer of the HDI Group, appointed Yves Betz as a new member of the management board, effective Dec. 1, 2019. He joins from the Zurich Insurance Company, where he was a member of the German management board and in the charge of the German commercial insurance business.
