People on the move in the P&C insurance industry: July 12, 2019

CSAA  Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, has promoted Linda Goldstein to executive vice president, customer experience and marketing. Prior to her executive vice president position, Goldstein was vice president of marketing channels and partners. Jodi Martin has joined Western Growers Insurance Services as director of employee benefits account management. She has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry specializing in agriculture. Westhill Inc., an Eos Venture Partners portfolio company and provider of a digital-first, cloud-based collaboration platform which helps property & casualty insurance companies, appointed George Jones CEO. Since 2001, he has been a leader in the property claims area at nationally-known companies, including USAA, Farmers Insurance and Chubb. Susan Wollenberg has been selected to serve as the chief financial officer for Windhaven Insurance and The Hearth Insurance Group. She has been a member of the board of directors at Windhaven since its founding in the early 2000s. Brit Ltd announced the following appointments:

Steve Guest has been added to the Excess Line Association of New York's (ELANY) senior management team as financial director. Guest comes to ELANY as a 26-year independent regulatory contractor working primarily as a field supervisor of National Association of Insurance Commissioners multistate, lead state and domestic company financial examinations of excess line, property & casualty and life and health insurance companies, as well as reinsurers and captives. Brightway Insurance announced that Bob Hitchcock will serve as the company's chief technology officer. Prior to joining Brightway, he spent seven years at Fanatics Inc., where he served as chief technology officer and vice president of technology. Mark Mooney has joined CopperPoint Insurance Companies as vice president and head of underwriting for California. Most recently, he was the regional vice president, Texas region at Union Standard Insurance Group. The Hartford named Matt Scott head of the northeast division for the company's middle and large commercial insurance business. Most recently, he was head of the company's claims solutions organization with accountability for a number of divisions, including legal operations, data analytics, claims sales and others. Don Harrison has joined Holmes Murphy as the vice president of business development for south and central Texas. He has spent his entire career in Houston, most recently as the managing consultant of the Willis Towers Watson Houston and Austin offices. Ryan Specialty Group announced that Michael Blackshear has joined the company as a senior vice president and global chief compliance officer. His previous position was with Chubb Insurance Group, where he served as the North America chief compliance officer. Heather Eilers-Bowser has joined the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (the Big "I") Capitol Hill team as federal government affairs counsel. She comes to the Big "I' from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners where she was legislative counsel. Cannasure Insurance Services announced that Joe Foley has joined the company as chief financial officer. Prior to joining Cannasure, Foley was a partner at Falcon, a private equity talent platform, and he was a co-founder of Greencastle, a mission-critical infrastructure developer. Mark Friedlander has been appointed as the Insurance Information Institute's new Florida-based communications consultant.
